Skin Whitening

Skin whitening has reached almost obsession levels in the Far East. The Chinese, Koreans and Japanese use skin whitening products almost as a matter of routine from a very early age. This not because they wish to be white but rather it’s a class thing. If you have dark skin, you are considered to be a manual outdoors worker and if you have light colored skin, you are considered to be of a higher class.

Many women who use these products in the Far East have had some serious health problems as a result of the strengths of creams and lotions used and an active black market thrives on selling banned products in many European and Far Eastern countries.

In South America many women who suffer from mercury poisoning have admitted that they have used skin whitening products for man years, and in trying to improve their appearance and social standing were in fact killing themselves.

In the USA the use of skin whitening products is much better controlled and tested, to ensure consumer safety and a thriving industry has been developing new and exiting skin whitening products. Some people have been found to be allergic to the properties in these products so should avoid them completely.
